REMIRA, which has been successful with the LOGOMATE software solution in retail and industry in Germany and abroad for almost 20 years, continues to grow in the furniture sector. The furniture chain POCO Service AG from Bergkamen (North Rhine-Westphalia) also relies on automatic inventory optimization and merchandise planning.
LOGOMATE, developed in 1994 by REMIRA founder Carsten Scherer, combines rough and detailed planning to optimize procurement, production and distribution. This ensures the best possible capacity utilization and on-time completion. Medium-sized and large companies from various sectors have been using the easy-to-use LOGOMATE automatic scheduling and inventory management system to increase efficiency for years with great success.
With furniture chains such as XXXLutz, Zurbrüggen and LIPO already using LOGOMATE for replenishment, REMIRA welcomes POCO Service AG as a new customer in this area. The furniture chain, headquartered in Bergkamen in North Rhine-Westphalia, operates around 100 furniture stores throughout Germany and employs more than 6000 people. With LOGOMATE, stocks can be reduced while at the same time increasing the availability of goods. Out-of-stock situations are largely avoidable, allowing enormous efficiency potential to be realized.
The Austrian retail company XXXLutz, which is also represented in Germany and other European countries, has been planning with LOGOMATE since 2012. The aim is to further improve quality. Martin Schierhuber, authorized signatory and Head of IT & Telekom/CIO at XXXLutz, explains the requirements: "An article can be stored in up to four different store units, from the central warehouse to a regional warehouse and an in-house warehouse to the display in the store. All of this has to be taken into account by the planning department. Added to this is the coordination with the different countries." The complex task was implemented in several steps: First, the previous solution was replaced by LOGOMATE, then add-ons were added, which Remira offers as added value. The result was a new system that will accompany XXXLutz on its growth path in Europe.
LOGOMATE has also recently been implemented in Switzerland. The LIPO furniture stores in Reinach in the canton of Basel (Switzerland), one of the country's largest furniture retailers, also manage their two-stage scheduling with the scheduling software from Germany. With increased delivery capability, optimized inventories and an improved product range, the agile Swiss company wants to continue its growth course and keep its own advertising promise to its customers: "More living for your money!"
