The family-run company has been using the AI-based REMIRA software for sales forecasting and inventory management for nearly 30 years—and is now gradually transitioning to the solution’s new cloud version.
Since 1855, CONACORD Voigt GmbH & Co. KG has been successfully supplying the German market and is distinguished by an exceptionally broad product range, the highest product quality, and comprehensive technical expertise. The family-owned company from Lippstadt specializes in the development, manufacture, and distribution of load-securing products. Its long-standing experience as a family business enables CONACORD to respond flexibly to customer needs and build sustainable partnerships.
CONACORD has always sought ways to optimize its internal processes. Before the introduction of the REMIRA software, inventory was managed manually using index cards and slip sheets. This method was not only time-consuming but eventually reached its limits as the variety of items grew, leading to delivery bottlenecks. In the 1990s, there were only a few software solutions on the market that met CONACORD’s requirements. REMIRA’s sales forecasting and inventory management software promised to significantly simplify and automate inventory planning, with positive effects on inventory levels and delivery reliability—and it has delivered on that promise over the years. “Today, nearly 30 years later, the REMIRA software is a central component of our inventory planning and scheduling. The software provides reliable forecasts and order recommendations, allowing our employees to focus more on monitoring and fine-tuning. We operate three warehouses with approximately 120,000 items. Nine employees actively work with the REMIRA software,” explains Serya Rabbito, Purchasing at CONACORD.
Employees already appreciate the intuitive usability and time savings in their daily work provided by the existing on-premises solution. The automated recommendations and clear forecasts significantly reduce manual effort, allowing employees to focus on strategic tasks such as procurement optimization, price negotiations, or supplier management. The transparency of the data is also viewed very positively, as it has made inventory planning decisions much more traceable. As a result, target inventory levels remain stable despite a significant increase in imports from the Far East with long lead times. Automated forecasts and order recommendations ensure that inventory planning is constantly optimized, while also reducing excess inventory and out-of-stock situations. Overall, the capital tied up in inventory has been reduced. To ensure these positive results continue, the managers at CONACORD and REMIRA work closely together, as Serya Rabbito reports:
“We view our collaboration with REMIRA as a partnership based on expertise. The team is always available, provides support when we have questions, and works closely with us to tailor the software’s use to our specific needs.”
In September 2025, CONACORD decided to use selected services from the REMIRA PLATFORM. The REMIRA PLATFORM is a central hub for managing all supply chain and omnichannel processes using the latest technology and the highest data protection standards. Customers can quickly and easily add additional features and access services through the platform. CONACORD is one of the first existing customers to decide to transition from an on-premises solution to the cloud. For now, the company will continue to use its local server for inventory management, while the intelligent AI forecasting service is already being sourced from the REMIRA PLATFORM. In addition to the algorithms that have proven themselves over many years, these new AI functions will further refine forecasts and achieve an even higher level of process automation.
Thanks to its integration with the platform, CONACORD already has the option to use additional modules and services offered by the platform. The Lippstadt-based family-owned company expects further benefits from the transition to the REMIRA PLATFORM, as Serya Rabbito explains:
“We have decided to invest in the future and gradually roll out REMIRA’s cloud solution. The goal is to further improve inventory optimization, particularly in niche product lines, in order to achieve the final few percentage points of efficiency in our top-selling product lines. The transition is currently in the implementation phase. We expect that full implementation will result in additional efficiency gains and optimization potential.”
In January, REMIRA conducted on-site training to ensure a smooth transition to the cloud, address in-depth questions, and fully leverage the software’s potential.
