Stocktaking is essential for inventory management and the annual financial statements, but are often time-consuming and cost-intensive. However, this does not have to be the case, as the German Commercial Code (HGB) in Germany and the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB) allow simplifications such as permanent full inventory and inventory sampling in addition to the full inventory on the reporting date. However, misinformation means that many companies continue to waste time and resources on stocktaking.

WEITBLICK GmbH & Co. KG is optimizing its inventory processes with the TÜV-certified, cloud-based inventory sampling software STATCONTROL Cloud from REMIRA. With the smooth update of the software architecture, the manufacturer of workwear is taking the proven sampling principle to the next level. The counting effort has been reduced from around 25,000 items to just 39 samples, which corresponds to 99%.

In the pharmaceutical industry, the legal requirements for stocktaking are particularly strict: there must be no deviations in the stocks of medicines. The company medac, based in Wedel near Hamburg, has therefore opted for statistically validated sample stocktaking with REMIRA's STATCONTROL Cloud software and is highly satisfied with the results. With an inventory of around 105,000 containers, only 53 samples had to be taken and counted.  

Complete stocktaking in just one shift: Centrotherm, a company based in Brilon, Germany, known as a developer, manufacturer and distributor of gas flue systems for condensing boilers, has already relied on sample stocktaking in the past. With REMIRA, however, Centrotherm was able to reduce the counting effort even further: Their SaaS software STATCONTROL Cloud in combination with a counting app ensured greatly reduced warehouse closing times at Centrotherm.
