REMIRA Italia Acquires Three Software Companies in Italy
From 50 to 100: With three acquisitions at the beginning of the year, REMIRA has continued its expansion in Italy and doubled the number of employees in the country. The companies Proelia, IambOO and Giuneco are now part of REMIRA Italia. The supply chain and omnichannel commerce specialist, which was advised by Ernst & Young, is thus continuing its strategic growth and further expanding its market position.
REMIRA Italia has already successfully implemented projects with the three Italian experts for software development in the past. From now on, their solutions and specialists will complement the company's software offering: Giuneco from Florence will contribute their know-how as experts for cloud projects. Proelia from Prato offers an IT solution for optimizing textile labels. In addition to alignment with the destination country of the goods, RFID technology can also be applied, for example. Customers include premium brands from the fashion sector. Another solution is used for quality assurance in textile and leather production. IambOO from Pontadera specializes in methods for agile software development as well as IT security and develops applications in the mobile environment. In these areas, IambOO has also positioned itself as a consulting and coaching company. The acquisitions, in which Ernst & Young successfully supported as M&A buy-side advisor, are another building block for REMIRA in the course of the company's internationalization. Stephan Unser, CEO at REMIRA, states:
"For us, they are the next logical step in our growth strategy in Italy. The goal is to create synergies for the sustainable economic success of our customers with our end-to-end offering of AI-powered cloud solutions."
REMIRA's customers benefit from strong industry expertise. In particular from the fashion and luxury goods industry, numerous well-known companies are already on the reference list. At the same time, the company has succeeded in winning new customers in numerous other target industries over the past year, thanks in part to the solutions offered by the REMIRA Group. Lorenzo Azzari, CEO at REMIRA Italia:
"What has already worked excellently in recent years with our international and interdisciplinary team from Germany and Italy, we want to scale again through the merger. We are building up further resources to accompany existing and new customers in the long term on their way to a seamless customer journey and optimal goods availability for their customers."
Part of the strategic growth process is also the promotion of young talent: Giuneco and IambOO will be the basis for a software development campus in the future. The proximity to the major universities in Florence, Pisa and Bologna provides access to young IT professionals, especially software developers. With this manpower, REMIRA ensures the continuous development of technologies to meet the growing demands of its customers.
